I'd like to know, too. Probably at least to 87.5mm, it's the bore of the 4G64. 8)

Stock bore is 86.5mm on a 2.4L. You can bore a 4G64 block safely to 87.5 mm. SO from what I understand from Weisco they have had customer bore 4G63 blocks to 87.5 mm also.

the big question is, would it be worth it in terms of HP gain?

i mean, going from a 2 liter to a 2.4, thats quite a lot

Keep in mind you'd need the 2.4L crank to make it a true 2.4L. Otherwise it's probably more like 2.1L.

And still that won't give you 2.4L it will only give you 2.3L because 4g64 has extra deck height. Just by a 4g64 and be done with the boring...

Actually, thats wrong. You *can* make a 2.4L out of a 4G63 block, you jsut need to move the pin of the piston up the skirt 6mm so you don't punch it through the head. 2.3L engines are 85mm (stock 2.0 bore) x 100mm (4G64 crank).
