 Post subject: 95 Mirage coupe swap

Does anyone know how hard it is to swap a 4g63 into a 95 Mirage coupe. I am going to be dionf this But need to know whats involed in it before i do it. I drive a talon TSi AWD right now and would be doing this for a project. TIA.

From what I've found, it's almost exactly the same as doing it into an 89-92 model. The only harder thing is you can't scavenge a Hyundai motor mount... Got to modify the T-belt mount yourself. I'll let you know how easy it is when I finish mine. :D

Let me know if you need that mount on the belt side. Jay, they're all over the place here in the states (particularly GA). I'd get you one no problem. The only non-straight-forward parts are the wiring harness (different Ignition systems, different ecu- you may decide to go stand alone engine management which is easier than changing the whole harness over to a T/E/L), and and exhaust (some welding required; best to go with a 3" set-up at this time).

Im doing this exact swap, its not too bad, as long as you get all the parts in advance its real straight forward. im just using the complete wire harness, and ECU out of a 91 Turbo Eclipse. plug and play really.
