FYI,

I was wondering if any of you know what to do when Dodge Canada doesn't have parts in stock (discontinued) and Mitsubishi Canada won't help on parts availability for my 89 colt turbo? I need any 1-800 numbers that I can call as visting the dealer leads you know where!

I live in Lethbridge and went to an Edmonton Mitsu dealer for help, they site that the cars colt/mirage are different. They also say that since they have been burned on wrong parts in the past that they will no longer entertain looking for and ordering parts for the colts.

Thanks,

Dave

There's no such thing as a "200 Colt Turbo" ther ewas the '89 colt GT (4G61T), and then there was the 200 GT which was the 4G15. Besides the motor and everything attached to it the cars are the same. Oh and the rear axle/brakes. Mirage/Colt is just badging, US: Mirage, Canada: Colt. same car.

sorry Captain
pretty sure my car is a 200

http://members.shaw.ca/richardfairservi ... ure/09.jpg

My car was sold as a Colt 200 Turbo, at the same time chrysler, dodge and plymouth dealers sold Colt 100 turbo's (previous style).
The owners manual refers to the car as a 2000 series.
From the site www.altrom.com (which is a not bad place for checking parts avliable from Lordco.

Car Make: CHRYSLER-DODGE-EAGLE-PLYMOUTH Comments on File:
Model: COLT 200 & SUMMIT DUAL OVERHEAD CAM ENGINE
Year: 1989 - 90 1989 2DR = TURBO
Serial # (range): 1989 4DR = NON-TURBO
Chassis: 1990 = NON-TURBO
Engine Size: 1595cc
Engine Code: "K" 4G61

The site also lists Colt 100's

dag333 the biggest problem with places getting burned with parts is the fact colt 100's and 200's were sold in the same year.
I have had many parts returned because the 100 series part was sent. You just have to push and make sure they order the 200 part

P.S. look below
