I just got a Mirage 1991 GS with a 1.6L. I plant to make this a turbo 1.6l until I get a 2.0L ready.

Where I can get a good quality 1.6L timing belt / tentioner, and other timing related engine hardware?

I would buy OEM Mitsubishi components only, because that's probably all you'll be able to get for the 1.6L. The tensioner should be the same as a 2.0L 6-bolt, OEM is the best bet there too. I order all my stuff from JNZTuning, he gets pretty good deals on factory Mitsu parts.

Would I be able to use a DSMlink from a 2.0 turbo 1Gtalon in 1.6l turbo engine?

90 DSM is exact crossover pin wise, so if you go with link, find a 90 V3 and you will get all the features. I'm sure you could also use the older versions, but best to pay for the upgrade to V3 if you find one.

You can run a gates or continental belt and have confidence in its performance. I have spun them to 9500rpm for years without issue.
