what do you mean shift points? if its auto then there is a totally diff tcu that controls the shifting.. if its a manual then there are no shift points...

but to answer your question we would need more info like what kinda car.. year..engine size..stock or swapped.. I dont think there is much of a diff between fwd and awd ecu's but if there is its something small like inj size.

a description of the problem you are having (if any) would also help.. or are you just trying to use what you have to get a car running?

sorry....

just playing games with my son.

I have a 93 AWD Auto vista wagon

looking at purchasing a 92 FWD Auto summit

I might want to keep the 92 ECU for future use...... although, it occurs to me as I type that the 92 should have an 8 valve SOHC while my 93 is the 16 valve 2.4.

Your probably right on the injector sizing...... i'll have to check that out.

It's a pretty common thing for auto DSM guys to use manual transmission ECU's as an upgrade. As slowdsm said, there's a seperate computer for the transmission. Yes, injector sizing is different between auto and manual cars, at least on DSM's...no clue on the minivans, but probably not too different.
