I'm building another Hyundai Sonata G4CP engine (4g63 no turbo) to Turbo and I need the oil pump gasket, for those who don't know the 96-98 g4cp has different oil pump design than 92-95, according with the autoparts catalog from Oreilly, Autozone, Napa, Rockauto even the Hyundai Dealer said it's the same from 92-97, also the Felpro TCS45938 gasket set says that but that's WRONG, this gasket will not fit on the 96-98 oil pump, so the weird thing here is that if you look for the 96-98 oil pump they will show you the right part with the right gasket with it, so I can't find the gasket itself anywhere or even the part number, does anyone know where else should I try?

this is the one I need

What if you looked online and found a VIN for the correct car and then called Hyundai and had them order it that way?

I have the vin number and I took it to the dealer, guy showed me the same diagram I saw online showing a 92-95 gasket and he say that was the one, I told him that doesn't look like it then he said well it's the dealer part, it was $35 and he had to order it so I couldn't confirm it physically

Hmm, that is weird. Maybe get him to order it anyway and just compare it to the pic when it comes in? Surely he'd give you a refund if it wasn't the correct gasket.

Man what a nightmare trying to get that gasket, it looks like they disappeared that part number from the planet, I tried every single auto part store, website and none of them had them, there was only one website that used to sell it but it wasn't available anymore, also we called felpro to notify them their mistake and we explained that the one they listed as 92-97 compatible would not fit on 96-98 engines, but I guess they will not do anything since its too old, that's so weird...

this is they only website that listed that gasket

I ended up making my own gasket with gasket paper, I just got the best picture I could and started working from there
