I have been seeing leaked oil on the engine block (under the exhaust manifold) and I believe I have to replaced the head gasket the engine hasnt been opened before what are the things I need to look out for that needs replacement aside from the head gasket. Also is it also advisable to use sealant gasket what are the best to use on this? should I also replace the head bolts?

Exhaust manifold stud is leaking oil. Remove the manifold, remove the stud clean everything really well and put everything back together with high temp or copper RTV with a new gasket.

I just checked it, I think it the oil is leaking somewhere in the waterpump area but I dont see any traces of oil in the coolant. What could be the problem, would this be my headgasket is blown up? would the copper RTV be the best to use on hi temp applications like this ones.

Could be the Cam Seal (it runs down on top of the waterpump area). Normally when the HG goes bad, you will see different issues like compression and coolant in the motor isues

Remove the upper timing cover and clean under the cam gears on the head, check back for oil leaking in that area. if there is, then it is your cam seal as stated or possibly your valve cover gasket.

aside from the cam seal and the valve cover gasket what are the things I need to check in that area to replace it since I'll be opening it. How many cam seals do we need? 1 or 2? Thanks guys
