I bought a set of stock C52A Colt coil springs off a board member awhile back to use with a new set of KYB GR-2 front struts for my 90 Plymouth Colt GL. Part number for the front KYB GR-2 (Excel-G) struts is 235033. They look very similar in size and shape to 1g AWD struts. I do not have any part number for the stock Colt springs, but I would imagine I have the correct part. I took some measurements and the spring is approximately 16" tall. The height of the strut from the base where the coil sits to the top of the shaft fully extended is about 12". From the pictures I've included below, it looks like a lot of compression is needed to get this to fit. I've done numerous spring swaps over the years and never recall having to compress a spring this much. Let me know your thoughts. I'm tempted to go stock 1g AWD springs in the rear and 1g AWD lowering springs up front. I would just need to verify that 1g AWD springs will fit on the CSM rear KYB GR-2 struts. I've read conflicting information in regards to that.
