It's possible, all it would take is a bunch of cutting and welding. Probably going the 4g63/turbo350 route with my Toyota Starlet in the next year or so. Wouldn't be much different doing it to a colt other than having to fab up a rearend of some type that could handle the power.
Damn this is pretty tight and I also saw this

With enough skill nearly anything can be accomplished. Please don't take this the wrong way but if you have to ask, it's probably not a good idea. Forget paying someone to tackle this swap, it'll nickel and dime you to death.
For the rear end though, just cut down any rear to the width that you need. Build a tunnel for the transmission and driveshaft and you're good. Sure, there's much more involved than that but that'll get you started.
It never hurts to think outside the box though.
I would never pay someone for a swap, Im in this for the knowledge and saving money. I just need to learn welding and cutting technique. How am I supposed to cut down a rear end; that's possible?
The original idea was the awd rear bc that has been done a million times but i understand its only ment for 50% of the power so what If I gave it basically 50%.
4g15-rwd trans-4-bolt rear.

You could do a standard awd setup, do as tonus said, and use a mustang 8.8 rearend. Someone on here used one. That would be more than strong enough to take the abuse.
Just use the diff and pinion in the housing?
