Question:

Has anyone tried (or just measured) to swap out the rear axle beams between a 3g Colt and a 1g GST? I am assuming something is different to prevent this, but it is intriguing for going rear disk. I can’t seem to find any information on the track width of the 1g rear beam.

I looked into it way back when I had my 1st black colt. The part that bolts up is different so they'd have to be cut off and re-welded. Not impossible but some sore of jig would have to be created to get it all perfect. This guy put one in one of his csm's but I don't think he has pics of the install.

Mine has the whole rear swapped, I didn't do it though, was under the car when I got it. What would you want pictures of?

Pics of where it bolts up to the chassis.

Trying to get pictures, car got primered today to it's a mess. Need to pull the back wheels off to get decent pictures but want to keep and greasy fingers away from the sheet metal. But from looking at it, it looks like they just welded the beam mounts from the stock rear onto the dsm rear.
I wish my car was still 4 lugs though, I want 15" wheels and all the ones I find are only 4 lug :( That and my rear rotors are bigger than my front ones by a little bit. lol
