Yeah, with my wheel being flat it sits just a little far away. It would be nicer with a little dish like your wheel. However it's still great.

^ thought about adding a quick release? it would double as a spacer.

They also make spacers http://nrgsuperstore.com/collections/in ... acer-black

The colt GT wheel will install into a non-gt car without issue.

that's the 3 spoke right that's odd mine wont fit it seem that the gt wheel has bigger holes that connects to the shaft. Mmm... what can I do about this??

Do we have any retrofit from other mitsubsihi model that will work fine in our cars?

your location says Indianapolis so I thought you were here in Indiana in the u.s. It's very possible that you have a smaller diameter steering wheel mounted over there since you also have versions of the vehicle that we never got like 1.2 or 1.3 liter motors

Not sure about that. The turbo mirage wheel I bought won't work with my Colt GT column.

I see a lot of talk about GT steering wheels, but mainly, the 3 spoke wheel everyone has, was equipped on the TURBO GT model and 1.6NA Summit GS, over here in USDM land. Europe got GTi's which would have this wheel also.

I wonder if the tilt/telescope column is the only reason the steering wheel won't fit onto base model columns that came with the two spoke, base wheel.

I know we've seen posts about the tilt column being different. I haven't gone far enough back into this topic, for a while now, to remember the difference but I think we found it.

The tilt column is different and so is it's steering wheel. The column shaft has a different circumference and taper. I added tilt/telescoping to my base sedan and had to swap both the tilting column and the telescoping steering wheel.

Interestingly enough the eagle sedan I got my tilt column from had a 2 spoke telescoping wheel. That car was a 89 1.5L sedan with power window options and A/C. It had the 80's blue interior. I got a 3 spoke telescoping steering wheel from another sedan, an 89 Colt Sedan only found in Canada. That car was rare.
