has anyone managed to get a datalogger to work with a jap spec ecu and 4g61t?

Im not getting any data from the diagnostics port, not sure yet if its a cable fault or not. But i have heard of a few people having problems getting data from the JDM 88-91 VR4 and other earlier mitsubishi's. I know of one person who had the pocket logger working on a mitsi GTO, but no luck with it on his vr4.

I know the jdm ecu does work differently in some ways, mine is a dual board ecu, and i know the knock led setup doesnt work on the jdm ecu the same was as the dsm one.

Any help much appreciated.

I think i remember someone (think it might of been Mike@RRE) saying that the datalogger (TMO in those days) wouldn't work on the dual board JDM ECU's.

I have a single board G-VR4 ECU and I can't get the darn thing to talk to my pocketlogger. I have no idea if my problem is the cable, ecu, palm or just user error :)

I wish I had a friend with a DSM so I could test my cable/palm.

stupid galant
