91 colt, 4g63 with all new rubber mounts Looking at the car from the front the engine sits noticeably lower on the drivers side than on the passengers. Probably about 1/4-1/2" from one side of the valve cover to the other. Any ideas? Thanks |

Factory rubber mounts or aftermarket? I've seen Energy suspension mounts that off-set and can cause the engine to not sit in the bay correctly. Also, what transmission and mounting plate? |

New stock mounts, fairly sure the transmission is a 5-speed from a 91 turbo. As far as mounting plate, i have no idea. Picked the car up as a work in progress thing. I'll snap a picture here later and post them. |

Excuse the mess, it's a work in progress. Probably wont be plated till spring after paint and wiring cleanup. And sorry for the blurry passenger side mount pictures, didn't realize the lens was fogging up in the cold. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

the 4th pic down.. straight down shot of the trans mount... the bolt is suppose to be centered.. it looks like you need to do the mod most others do.. which is re drill a new hole for that big bolt..... put a jack under the trans.. pull that big bolt out.. lower the jack till motor sits level... then u will get a idea of where to drill the new hole. Need a turbo trans mount for an 89 Mirage/Colt. Try what Steve just posted or you will be hunting for more parts. |

Tossed a jack under the motor and took the passenger side bolt out and lowered the motor till it was level. Raised it up just a tiny bit and then drilled a new hole. (That was fun) Motor sits nice and pretty now, had to drop it a little over .5". But no more OCD about lopsided motor ![]() |
