so the 94 mirage I have has a salvage title.. the tag on the hood says 1.5.. but ive read the 94 es came with the 1.8 auto.. when I search the vin I only get 1 result and its very vague.. it says engine 2 Li I4.. I know the I4 is inline 4.. but not sure how to determine if the 2 Li means 1.5 or 1.8? thanks Steve |

Look at the silver plate on the firewall, it'll either read 4G15 (1.5L) or 4G93 (1.8L). |

If there is a VIN on the engine block you can try running that as well. |

Also in some rare cases the trim means nothing. I've seen LS cars at the yard with 1.5's in them. |

no motor or trans when I got it Tonus. and ill check the plate today.. didnt even think about that lol... thanks you 2. Steve |
