Step 1) Bend metal.
Step 2) Apply welds.
Step 3) Apply finish coating of your choice.
Step 4) Bolt in place.

As long as you use a battery tender when not in use and store them properly they should be fine. I have gone through a couple PC680s because I let them sit too long, if you let them die they have a hard time coming back to life. My latest one stays on a trickle when ever the car is parked, it's been doing great so far. Stay away from sound systems, ect.

I think my battery tender killed my last one. This winter I just unhooked it from the car.

I have a battery that's larger than stock and more CCA's too. Don't like no-starts, weak batteries. Small batteries just don't cut it for me. There is way less stress on the system with a stock battery/larger battery and properly sized alternator; ie 90 AMP.

so staying on the stock size (bigger ones) are a better choice? and lightweight is the only advantage this small batteries has and not power and longevity.

this is what all you are saying based on you experience.

Just my preference really. I think people with the smaller aftermarket style Braille or those other mini batteries, um, Oddysey? have lived shorter lives. That being said, it is what I have gathered over time, I don't have ten stories with actual proof of sulphation/similar battery deaths for whatever reason. I think it is a weight issue and nothing else. If you drive your car in the cold, the more potential CCA's, the better period.

Mitsubishi Galant VR4 90 amp alternator.

Just went to JNZ and found 90 amp parts, but no alternator in stock. 75 amp had full stock listings.
