Hey again,
I am going to be swapping my tranny soon and was curious to see if I could just swap the diff from one tranny to the other, so I would not have to remove the Phantom Grip I have in my current transmission. I have checked the post on installing the B&M insert, and it seems to say I can just swap diffs...but I would like to know for sure :). Thanks!

i would think if your switching diffs, that you would have to check the endplay, were the little spacers go..

Hmm, ok, one thing to watch for :). Thanks! I would be getting a friend to do the job for me as I am NOT a confident tranny mechanic. He got a strange look in his eye when I said I wanted to swap the PG over :-? . Any help is much appreciated.

:-? Just curious, but what type of tranny are you putting in and why? I thought you were an OEM man. By the way, I have a whole bunch of spacers that you can have. I was told, by installation instructions, that I might need a spacer and that they came in a pack of five for you to select the right one. (Unfortunately, you have to assemble and test for play to get it right) When I ordered, a pack of 12 came, and they all seem to be the same size(thickness). I know that I wont need all of them so I can send you some. Bill Spruill, oldest Colt

I'm going to install a KM210 that I found in 2.4L hyundai sonata :). It is a dead ringer for the KM210 in my car now so I have decided to find out how it shifts :). I have a phantom grip in my diff now, and want to swap it over to the new tranny. The offer of spacers would be welcome indeed! I'll post some more info when I try the swap :). Thanks Bill!
