Hey, does anyone know which way the pin comes out? Pretending that the tranny is in the car, do I pound it towards the firewall or towards the rad? I checked all the posts I could find about DSM tranny swapping into the colts, but could not find any concrete information about the direction. Any help would be appreciated cause if I cannot get the pin out, I will just bend the shift linkage to shape :).

I'd prefer to do it the proper way though ;).

Oh yeah, one more thing....what is the deal on the 2G tranny swap? I've heard that you have to swap the differential to the 1G style, but do they mount up properly? It would be nice to have a tranny that I would not have to worry about.

I've done it, but to be honest can't remember which way it comes out... :(

One hole is larger then the other though. Just push out the largest hole. You may need calipers to see which one is largest.

Hey broke, when you do this, can you get a few pictures and confirm which way it comes out. This should go into the archives.

I'll try, I have to borrow the digi cam from work and it is signed out right now :(. But I agree this info should be archived, I will do my best! :D
