I have swapped a 4g63nt into my 89 Colt and I decided to reuse the 4 speed hydro trans that came in the car with a 4g63NT clutch and flywheel. I installed a new DSM NT TOB in it and even with me bleeding the clutch numerous times it seems like when I push the clutch down it stops 3 inches from the floor like it hits a wall. Any ideas? |

Can you push in the rod on the slave by hand? If not, then you need to adjust the rod on the master shorter. |

I hate to sound like a tard but how do you do that? Just crack the bleeder and push it all the way in by hand?Edit...I know what you mean, the rod on the clutch itself right? See the thing is when you push the pedal the actuator rod moves but not far enough ti disengage the clutch and when you crack the bleeder it goes all the way to the floor. I think my slave cylinder might be shot because the only time it actually retracts all the way is when the bleeder is loose. Other than that its almost like it won't release the pressure all the way. Its kind of tough for me to explain... |

This test is done WITHOUT cracking open the bleeder, or anything else. If you can't, your pedal is out of adjustment. |
