To go along with my thread of installing a 1g DSM column switch into my CSM
http://www.4g61t.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=35316 my wire diagrams aren't 100% accurate which sucks when trying to splice wires together. Here's what I've got. For the steering column combo switch on my 89 Colt GT (with no cruise control and only 1 speed intermittent wipers) there are two connectors wired to the switch, C-44 which plugs into the junction block and C-03 which goes to another harness. I have all of C-44 accounted for as follows: ALL of these wires match the service manual diagram.
C-44 pinout
(pin# - color - description)
1) L, Washer/wiper power IN
2) GR, RH turn signal OUT
3) LG, LH turn signal OUT
4) GY, turn signal power IN from relay
5) B, Dimmer/Passing lights ground (also cruise control ground)
6) empty
7) RY, Dimmer/Passing lights High
I am missing info on a couple of pins for the following connector. Here's what I have:
C-03 pinout
(pin - color - description)
1) GW, tail light power OUT
2) G, (green wire on the car but can't find any info on it in the wire diagram, I have the factory service manual)
3) LB, Wiper motor high (power to the motor)
4) empty
5) GR, Head/Tail light power IN
6) GB, Horn
7) BW, windshield washer power to the motor
8 ) R, Dimmer/Passing lights power to headlight relay
9) RW, no info in service manual except a jumper diagnostic section - power to head light LOW beam maybe?
10) LR, wiper motor LOW power to motor
11) LY, ground to intermittent wiper circuit
So my car has a GREEN wire to pin #2 and a RED w/WHITE wire to pin #9 and I can't find any info in the manual what they are for. Any help would be greatly appreciated. My next step is to just use a meter and try to figure out what has continuity in different positions.
