I've read a few posts about using Dsm suspension to lower our cars but Im a little confused. I put expo spindles and brakes in the front of my sedan and it threw the camber way off and lifted the front end about an inch and a half. Could some one explain the process a little better and tell what parts are needed. Thanks

The easiest imo, and cheapest by buying used parts ("worn out" on a dsm is just right on a car that's nearly a thousand pounds lighter) is by buying AWD dsm agx's for the front with dsm lowering springs on them (or buy them separate, only need the front) and then AWD dsm GR2's (mod the mounting hole, either weld on another hole or bore out the original) on the back with STOCK awd dsm rear springs. This will give you around a 2" drop all around and it'll stiffen things up quite a bit.

You will have to take the upper mounting plates off your stock strut assembly and transfer them over to the dsm bits.

My costs (yours may differ):
$175 Used awd dsm AGX's with lowering springs already on them
$40 for a set of stock awd dsm springs (only used the rears)
$60 rear awd dsm GR2's already modded (from 89mirageman) for csm use.
=$275 for a "sport" suspension/2" drop


If the captain will chime in, he can tell you about his efforts with an ebay coilover setup.

Is there a reason for needing agxs in the front? And the mounting hole in
The rear I assume it the one on the bottom of the strut?

No specific need for agx's, any aftermarket (preferred) awd dsm front strut should work. Yes, the bottom mounting hole.
