hey, I turn my car off, and if the blower is turned on, it will stay on and run down the battery. I usually just remember to turn off the blower and its ok, but that one time, I may forget and get myself stranded someplace.

I'm NOT completely sure of this, but it seems like this only began after I installed my turbo timer.

any ideas?

if your car is stick you can just jump it yourself. try the troubleshooting. I was considering getting a timer but i dont mind letting the car idle for a few minutes

Its the turbo timer, trust me. Mine started doing the same thing right after the tt install too, and my roomate had the same issue with his GT turbo. There seems to be something wired wierd in the colts that makes the blower stay on after the tt goes off...

If you are unlucky enough to have daytime running lights (like I had, my car is a 92) they stay on too. Had to track down the DRL relay and pull it out.

I have no clue how to fix this, if you find out how, let me know! I'm getting lazier in my old age and would like to just shut off the car and let all the accessories be controlled by the TT. :)

Why would you do that? The timer works like it is supposed to, just the fan motor stays on. The simplest solution (and the one I use) is simply to remember to shut off the fan motor when you shut off the car. Most of the C/S/M's here are pre 90 anyway so the DRL's are not an issue. If they are, I can tell you where to unplug them so they don't work anymore :D .

I ahve a TT installed in my 92 colt wth the 4g61t engine and it works perfect, no blower staying on or anything like that. Are u guys using the same brand TT? I dunno what mine is, but it isn't a popoular one it came with the car I just pulled the steering column and put it in mine without disconnecting any wires. , serves the purpose though.

I'm using a vintage HKS tt, only 4 settings with analog buttons :). I have a modified Talon plug-and-play harness (modified with info from our archives, thank you "search" function :)). Maybe it is the harness itself? Ah well, I am in the habit of turning off the fan now :D .

Broke4speed gets me, I'm not sure everyone else does. I am talking about the blower in the car, for the heat or ac. I'm not talking about the fan in the engine bay for the radiator.

oh, well, at least it isnt just my car. I'll just have to get into the habbit of making sure I shut it off.
