Well, a few months ago I got the symptoms of the cars front end being twitchy and the rear end of the car feeling like it wanted to oversteer going over over bumps and ripples on the road and especially while driving on the insterstate. I run 205/50/15s so I figured it would follow ripples and grooves in the road but this was a little much. I found that there was 1/8" play in both outter tierod ends so replaced them and the car tracks better but not perfect. When the cars rear moves in an upward motion going over tracks or unloads going around an exit, it still feels like the car teeters corner to corner and the outer corner gives the feeling of coming around. I put the car on a lift and checked the rear factory bushings and struts. Wheel bearings look good and dont make noise. There is no slack in the stabilizer arm or trailing arms. Shocks seem to compress and rebound correctly. The stock springs are really soft but pass the push down/release test while on the ground. Could one rear shock cause this if it was failing but not leaking? One last thing, the lighter the car is in the rear, the worse it gets. If I run atleast 3/4 tank and have my toolbox in the back the problem is greatly reduced. Is the weight in the rear reducing the problem, or is it the rear suspension being compressed decresing the problem? Im not getting any popping from the upper rear shock mounts or rear suspension binding noises.
