I've polished some engine pieces over the winter and everythings about ready to go together and get dumped under the hood, snows going, getting warmer.. and i'm getting anxious!!

I cleaned up all the aluminum using just a cordless drill and flapwheels, polished it with enkey compounds.. got an amazing shine to it now!! Is there anything i should spray over it to keep the finish from decaying under the exposed high temps? Anyone with experience in this who's got any tips'n tricks?

Thanks

Shawn

I have polished aluminium intercooler pipes and they are still perfectly shiny (except for a few scratches I put on em) so you should be able to leave those parts untreated.

alluminum doesn't usually get to be lookin bad as long as you clean it up every once and a while. just put some polish on it and you will be good
