Ludachris at tooners is working on making this a reality for all of us. Every other stinking popular car to modify has tubular control arms that are stronger, lighter and adjustable. But not Mitsubishis, if we want them we have to pay a lot of money for custom fab work. The first thread regarding this discussion is here:http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/custom- ... -arms.html And at this thread Ludacris is attempting to actually get the gears turning on having a company fabricate these at a reasonable price: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/handlin ... et-mi.html If anyone on here can contact Ludachris to deliver on the needed OE pieces then you would be doing lots of people a huge favor. |

I am building these right now as we speak, 500-600 a pair is crazy its like 50$ in DOM tube, 30$ in heim joints and 25-30$ in welding material. Mind you if your going with the larger ball joints like myself then you have 15$ for two balljoint sleeves and 130$ for two balljoints. Still a huge profit, I am also making A jig so if the time comes I may make more then one set. |

That has been said so many times in the past. People have even fronted a good deal of money and stock parts for the jigs and test pieces to be made. Please do not be offended by me saying this but without pictures of the control arms then it is all just speculation for the time being. |

for sure I will get you some pics tmrw its just tube and a jig, nothing special yet waiting on the ball joint sleeve. but i have a bender I just purchsed and everything else ready to go just need to finish my jig and go at it. I wouldnt lie to you, I have already modded the factory control arms as far as I could and it still didnt work for what I wanted. Dont worry I will make a set for myself and probably never another set for anyone else ever again just like everything else I do. But check out my suspension thread as I update it shortly with all new info. |

The point of this thread and the other thread it refferences is to correct this problem. I could certainly make my own tubular everything but I do not want to buy a bender, welder and all the other miscellaneous tools you need to correctly produce them. It is much easier to purchase items like this BUT no company or reputable individual offers them for our cars. |

That is not a light-weight tubular control arm. That would be a modified factory version. |

Yes that is my first modded factory control arm setup in a Jig I made to make tubular control arms off of it. Look at the heim joints in the picture and other pieces I am going to use to make them. Easy CSMshaun, I told you I am making a set and I will. Afterwards I will even sell you the jig so you can make your own set. |

I am easy man. It is awesome that you made a jig to make tubular versions. Tear it up and make some sets. There is definitely a need for them. You won't get rich making them but you can definitely make a bit of money. |

You have got to produce those. They look strong and light. As long as your welds are good you can make a good deal of money selling them. I would gladly buy a set. Or you could make another set and sell the second set, any jig you make and your measurements to someone who would produce them. |

they are 3 pounds ligther per side with a total wieght savings of 6 pounds off the unsprung wieght. Also Yes! they are very strong, But I hate to say it this will be the one and only set I Will make. Maybe in the future I will make more sets I have everything written down for the pipe bends. |
