I can't seem to find any good pics to answer my question. I have a swapped Colt, with a '90 4G63t motor, and this is the housing that it came with. I don't believe it's the '90,as I don't see any ports for the air cooler lines. I know it's not the liquid cooled '91 and up that's the same as my GSX. Is it the non-turbo,or 4G61t?? Are they the same? I'm not trying to start a debate about having an oil cooler vs not running one,but how many of you guys with the 4g61t still run without one? In the future I want to get the air cooled type.

Also,I can tap into the hex bolts on the housing for the new oil sending unit and gauge I'm buying, correct? I don't like the current set-up and Sun Pro gauge.

Yes, either 61T or NT 2.0, same housing.
I take out that oil pressure switch and run a 1/8npt tap into those BSPT threads, install the sending unit of choice.
Personally, I like to remote mount an electric oil press sender and run an AN line to it, as I've had them fail unexpectedly. I suspect prolonged vibration to be the culprit because I havent had one fail in 5 years since I did this. Also heard of one person that had roadkill hit the sender, which pulled the threads out of the alum. housing, and the engine quickly pumped itself dry. That would ruin your day, no doubt about it.

I have read about the set-up you're referring to on Tuners, seems a few people have had that vibration problem. I've never heard on anyone ripping the sender out like that, that's crazy !! I myself basically ramped a freshly-killed deer in my GSX last fall,on a blind right-hand corner. I escaped with a cracked bumper cover and more dented oil pan,the cross member took most of the impact. Got pretty lucky!
