I need some help here I know its probably buried somewhere deep in the archives but I just don't have the time to look through them. My tranny broke a shift fork tonight and I need to get this thing back on the street soon cause its my sole means of transportation. What I need to know is what is all involved in swapping a e/l/t tranny into a M/C. Is it just a bolt in ordeal or is there something greater involved. Like I said I need help as soon as possible. :(

Well I'm not a speialist for the most part it is a bolt up. I believe you have to make a modification in the linkages or swap the linkages entirely and it works fine get a TEL tranny and run your searches you'll have the answer....

I'm pretty sure the 3-4 shift fork will work but I dont think the 1-2 will work. Anthony

just swap the damn thing@#$ when my fork broke (along with other things.. 5th.. 4th... and 3rd#@$) I got a tranny out of another colt. Don't get one from an electra those things are evil #@$ (the wire harness is a bit different). if you're looking for a tranny for a 4G15 there's one in the local scrape yard in a 4 door summit. there are some scoupes there too. not really sure about their wire harnesses though...

5spd right?

I replaced my F5M33 3-4 shift fork with my KM-210 fork. Most all the parts in there are swappable.
