I don't think any of the csms here in the US came with a maplight though they can be easily retrofitted from other cars. |

do you mean the light on the roof in between the front seats? cant believe they didnt put them in US cars?! |

Most cars with the retro sunroof I see so commonly, have this sort of map/front lighting. Just the dome light moved forward and nothing console-like about it. |

Not the dome light, we got those. A maplight (to me) is a small console type piece with two separate lights (one driver and one passenger) that's mounted forward on the ceiling, lights being used to read maps/etc. They can be easily retrofitted, just pull power+ground off the wires that go to the dome light.

yep, the bulging area by the rearview mirror has enough room behind it to mount a DSM overhead/map light. Just pull power from the dome light. My brother and I did it to one of our old colts long long ago. worked great ad it was factory mitsu ~joe |
