I held a roll of it in my hand Saturday at my local performance parts store. The roll of aluminum was far lighter, and I suspect easier to work with.

I have stainless lines. Not the stainless braided lines, but stainless tubing itself. I only used it because it was free from work and good for over 1500 psi. 0.43 internal diameter too :D

who makes them? is it for the CSM direct fit? part numbers? and where did you get them?

i think aluminums are very soft considering the danger of leaks on fuel.

The stuff I used is meant for the oilfield to contain high pressure stuff. It has to be bent to fit into its position, once its bent it can not be straightened. Expensive fittings, some over $35 each. To do my fuel tubing and fittings it was probalby around the $450 mark.

I think the stuff that Coltsfan used is the braided stainless stuff that comes in a roll with AN fittings on the ends of the line. Then the fittings that you require can be picked up from an auto parts performance store.

I dont think there is a real need for replacing the fuel lines unless you are trying to make a large amount of power, like maybe around 300-350 hp? I am not really sure what the stock lines are limited at. Someone else will probably chime in with more info on that.

I used 3/8" mild steel tubing for my feed and return lines, and SS braided an6 hose and fittings to my engine and regulator. I didn't see the need for anything more because according to the spec sheet, my Walbro 255 HP will fail well before it hits 1500psi.

I have all braided SS fuel lines, I'm running -8an in and -6an out. It was a huge pain in the ass, I have working with the stuff. If I ever do fuel line again I plan on running braided nylon line, it's a lot easier to work with.
