I'm going to keep my E316G and put it on my 4G63 when I get a timing belt and water pump for it but my bearings are shot in the turbo. It has some side to side as well as some in and out shaft play but it still spins perfectly and holds boost just fine. I was able to hold 20psi on it without any spiking or falling off. It also doesn't smoke. My question is what do yall think I should do with it? Should I run it the way it is or should I rebuild it? I'm kind of on a tight budget right now with my wife not working and all but I don't want to skimp on this engine this time around. |

spend the money to rebuild it now... so u dont have to spend 3-4 times more to rebuild the engine if the turbo blows and takes out the engine. Steve |

It'll smoke like crazy before it blows. If you don't have the cash right now, I'd wait it out til it starts smoking. |

I would just run it till it dies. It is not worth rebuilding unless you can balance it. |
