so the car is running again but it builds up mad amounts of presure in the tank. when I open the filler cap to add fuel theres a big gush of air .... when you guys do the swap...what do u do for fuel lines? I used the stock feed and replaced the filter...and im useing the stock return also...when I take the return line off it feeds back alot of fuel...theres also a 3rd line that is also there that is not hooked to anything...has anyone else had this problem? and yes it is the correct return line i didnt take them off the car.and car ran when I got it... thanks Steve |

That third line is the vent line; did you clamp or crimp it off? My buddy crimped his and his car will do that every time. It is vacuum caused by the tank being sealed and the pump forcing out fuel. It should be open and able to easily vent to the atmosphere or your charcoal can. |

No. If you are still getting tons of vacuum then there is a problem with the vent line. It may be clogged. |

so I got the car running again for the 4th tims since march... and the damn fuel line that goes from the filter to the rail has a hole it in and is leaking really bad... when I go to purchase a new one do I get it for the colt or for a dsm? thanks Steve |

they told me its a dealer item only.. dealers cant even get them so I cut mine and put a steel braided line in there untill I can get the fittings and do it correct.. but it works for now.. thanks for the help. Steve |
