You can't use an EVO 9 turbo on a CSM. They spin backwards and on an EVO the compressor side faces the driver's side of the car. They also use a twin-scroll turbine housing with a completely different flange than anything you could bolt on to a CSM.

FYI, it's an awesome turbo, and probably one of the more "ultimate" 16G's out there, but it's still just a 16G at heart. The real magic of the turbo is in its housings, mainly the twin-scroll exhaust housing. The wheels themselves aren't much different than an EVO 3 Big 16G.

It can be done, but I wouldn't suggest it. It's really not economically logical when an Evo 3 16g can be had for dirt...

Yeah, I know a few shops have made it work, but they all have extensive fabrication skills or at least a little bit more know-how than the Average-Joe CSM/DSM'r. One of my close friends was dead-set on swapping an EVO 8 16G on his 1g DSM, but then realized that it seriously isn't worth the labor and he bought a Sleeper 16G instead for $300.
