It should fit, your tranny has a diff from a 91 AWD auto tranny in it so I could run the DSM intermediate shaft and turbo Colt axles.

Since it's brand new I assume it doesn't have a ring gear on it, just unbolt the FWD one from the current diff and bolt it onto the kaaz lsd and you should be good to go. You'll probably have to reshim it though to get it to spec. Maybe pma1123 will chime in as he has a lsd in his Colt.

ring gear is easy to do, like what you said. had to reshim my kaaz. my buddy had made me some shims when he was workin at this machine shop at the time. thought all the diffs were the same for fwd?
mine is part # dbm2010
you should also get new bearings, cant find part # for those.

he said that it comes with everything that it would if i would have bought it brand new from kaaz. i was just going to take my tranny out and bring the tranny and lsd to a tranny shop, would that not be a good idea?

Yeah, it'll have to come out anyway. Just take both up to the shop and let them swap them out.

Nope, 92.5+ FWD turbo DSM's use axles with bigger splines. Early FWD's and all AWD's use the smaller splines.

Yeah I wanted that turbo but Brian needed it more than I did. He'll put it to good use I'm sure.

Your Colt will be nasty with a 20g, cams and that lsd 8)

I put up a photo how-to on the quaife in a KM210 if it helps out...I believe the steps would be the same, maybe the bearing PN's are applicable also, but I'm not sure how the km210/f5m33 early diff compare.

RRE would probably be abled to shed some insight.

I have a 1989 Mitsu Colt with a 1G FWD Gearbox with a NA 4G63 which we have just boosted with VR4 pistons, HKS 264 Cams and 20G Turbo. Anyways back to the topic at hand. I want to go Limited and I need to know if I would I have to buy new bearings, speedo gear and reshim also if I bought a brand new Kaaz LSD?
