that was me, and when i boxed in the air filter, my air temps going through the maf were within 2dg of ambient at the end of a run.
cooler air into the turbo= cooler air out = less work intercooler has to do.

Instead of hacking the stock light like that, why not just retrofit a sealed beam square headlight to it? Can't be that hard,and a majority of lights have the same connector....
