Well after a bit of research I came to find the following 89-92 Colts use the SAME struts as 92-95 Hyundai Elantras I verified this through P/Ns KYB GR2's for the Colt and Elantra are the same therefore this goes for all strut manufactuers (same dimensions and same damering) So in therory that means Elantra lowering springs would work on our cars also (I assume the weight distribution is similar on our car as it is on the Elantra) So there is another option for those guys looking for parts to upgrade your suspension. Has anyone looked at the brake hub configuration to see if its similar to ours and where the tierod mounts? Maybe we have some more hub options...

I had thought about the Elantra hubs, but a mechanic friend (the guy who helped me build my car) confirmed that the hubs are the same as ours :(. The elantra lowering kits are a possible good news though, as the talon setup in my car really bugs me sometimes, too stiff, too low, too bouncy, etc etc etc.

Don't you have the stock shocks with talon lowering springs? If so, get new shocks. Your problems may go away.

It's true, but I am not a huge fan of the spring rates of the talon lowering coils. Truthfully the car is a bit too low for my tastes, and it is proving too fiddly to try to get it to the level I want it at without spending money on some coilover sleeves and custom rate springs. I do have the GR2's ready to go on the car, but have run into a snag in regards to finding time to do it :-? .

I think I may have snapped my clutch disk in half yesterday :(.

So the shock install gets put on hold for a bit. Kinda sucks.
