ok here's what i have done... i removed the 6(if you include the two that are hiding under the licence plate)10mm bolts, and broke off the 4 retaining clips(i have the replacements will get you a part # asap
but even with all that off the cover still wont budge? so i am wondering if perhaps there are a few more hiding under the trimpeice that runs under the headlights/grill?

p.s i get my SMIC tomarrow(gotta call the guy tonite and remind him to put it in his trunk)

Yeah getting the bumper off is a pain. I did it last summer. I pulled the grill, headlights and sidemarkers. I think I removed the body panel that sits between the bumper and grill. Then I found the six bolts (14mm) that hold the inner bumper assy to the subframe. I removed the entire bumper, inner and outer, so I could work on the retaining bolts more easily. There are many of them (10mm) and most of them are rotted thru w/ rust and just snap. Before removing the bumper assy unsnap the electrical connection to blinkers. Good luck.

If you are lucky enough not to live in the rust belt... there are six bolt heads behind the turn signals mounted in the bumper. Remove the turn signals and you will see the botls. If they are not completely rotted away and you can get a wrench on them (again 14mm) you can pull the whole bumper off and work on the skin. Underdog's latest pictures show what it looks like.

i need to keep the bumper it's self on...(almost got the cover off:) found a few more clips under the bottom grill(a pain to get to)so i have like 7 more screwclips and it's off... anyway i have to keep the bumper cause im getting the SMIC ready so all i have to do is drill the "IN" hole and hook it up:)
