Lower frame brace offered by JIC through horsepower freaks.com
Can be accessed here

http://www.jic-magic.com/productsjic_framebrace.htm

and here

http://horsepowerfreaks.com/ShowProduct ... oryCd=LWER

Where do you guys think this tie in, is it the rear trailing arm mounts, they are sort of wishi-washy on what these really are, and which spot they tie into.

Any comments on whether this would be a streetable item or would all flex be replace with micro fractures  ? Never seen or heard of this for these car before, but if it's what I think they are then I should understand it.

Tim from Ottawa

GOOD!!!

The front of the control arm mounts is not a very stable design. Unfortunately, it appears to me that these bars are not designed to work with the US c50 chassis (89-92). I was thinking about making some of these for sale, is there any (I really mean enough) interest?

"JIC LOWER ARM BARS 1 AND 2 ELIMINATE FLEXING COMMON IN THE LOW-MOUNTED REAR CONTROL ARMS IMPROVING STABILITY AND HANDLING IN ALL DRIVING SITUATIONS" from the JIC website. And the picture on that other site, may not be the actual one for sale...

What's your estimated price?

Jmauld,
You'll buy anything once won't ya! haha

I dont know about price. I am leaning toward a design that my friend has on his Scirocco. It uses a cross brace between the front of the control arms that has a threaded insert so it will fit cars that have already been "used" a little, has another cross brace between the two inner rear control arm mounts, and then also has a single diagonal between the two at each of the maximums. Seems to work pretty good and makes shipping a lot easier.

I am probably going to do some work on brakes first though, unless there is a bunch of interest here.

im interested in these braces also....how well do you think they would work on a daily driven car with a 1.6" drop?

I like the design of the white frame on JICs website and I like the white frame that Rally guy has posted also. If it is possible I would say incorporate both designs into one.
