I was thinking about Elantras and parts that work they suffer from the same captive rotor as we do. I found a big brake kit I believe will fit our colts.

That means those rotors are 12.75 inches in diameter. They might fit under 15" wheels. We would need to check with the dealer.

Captive rotors are a real PITA. Compared to many other cars brakes though, the rotors on the mitsus are pretty hefty. thicker than most for the application. Most cars i see have rotors that are so thin that they warp easily(ford) or cant be turned at all. Read lousy heat dissipation. Besides you dont have to change rotors very often on a mitsu! I'm a cheapo but really think the Elantra discs would be a great upgrade for street use.

I believe that's the company I tried to get to work me with and finally gave up after never getting a straight answer.

If you've got the bucks, it may be worth a shot, especially if they'll let you send them back.
