We can now run either of these 195x60x14 tires in our class . We can shave them if we want . What tire do you think is the hot set up for our cars ?

I've used both. ES100's are crap compared to the Azenis. Get the Azenis.

Have you used them shaved and unshaved ? . The guys running them at the tracks that allowed them this past season seem split on whether or not shaving really helped the Falken but all said it did improve the Yokohama .

I haven't shaved either of them, I have a street car. ES100's are a longer-lasting tire with a higher treadwear, and in my opinion wouldn't be anywhere near as good for track use as the Azenis, and I'm willing to bet the Azenis are cheaper or nearly the same in cost.

The new Azenis are 23.3 but our new track is bigger so it should work out the same running 2nd . How much is .5 " tire size going to lower the RPM ?

Yeah, mine lasted about the same. They're not meant for longevity.

the es 100's are garbage. They lasted me 5000 miles. The turn in sucked, traction sucked, suck in the rain, and actual tread wear sucked. Cheap garbage. I run the hankook rs-2's i think. they are awesome. Its suppose to be there autocross tire. Awesome handling awesome traction, awesome treadwear and suprisingly awesome in the rain . The only thing that wasn't awesome about them was the price. The 215/35/18 costed 160 a tire. But 10k HARD street use and 1/4 mile usage. They still have 90% tread.

I decided on 14 - 7 Bassett Wheels with Falken Azenis 615 195/60/14 tires . Then a week ago Falken annouces they are bringing out a new tire the Falken Azenis RT 615K with a "better compound" and lighter carcass weight . (details on Falkens site ). My tire guy says he has not been able to confirm if the 14" tire size would be carried over to the new tire .
If the new tire comes in 14 ' i will have set in the next week or so .
