last year was my first year autoxing and i took first in my local class by a long shot, and second overall out of over 200 some cars. a lot of my friends asked me to drive their cars to see how i would do and i performed well in everything i drove. of course there are always that one guy who talks smack about everything. recently he pissed off my real good buddy who just bought a 1 of 1000 08 civic si mugen edition. my buddy then told that he wants me to race the mugen next year to show him up! i have driven the car a lot and it handles like its on rails. we are gonna throw some race rubber on it and have some fun!

ok enough with the rambling, here she is

mmm, $30,000 civic

So I take it it stays inside of a locked garage with cars parked infront of the door with a couple of pits watching it? I love those cars, But there getting jacked in front of the dealer lots. Are you gonna use a smaller wheel than the 18s?

Exactly. That machine you have there is more valuable to thieves than almost anything else. I'd go so far as to build a garage specifically for it, and to never take it out in public if I planned to stop anywhere other than autocross. Beautiful car.

Nice. You could have gotten an EVO IX for that much money. It's a sweet car, but a complete rip off in my opinion.

the car is not mine, its my good friends. he is a honda guy and he girl had a big part in the selection.

and yes it does stay in the garage with a tahoe, turbo camaro, and wrx parked in front of it. they live in a great area of town and this year a whole 2 cars have been stolen in town.

we are going to be running some 17's that he had laying around, they will be decent.

Good luck! Keep us updated.

What class you gonna run it in? I don't even know if it's classed anywhere yet is it?

Have fun.

the class is still up in the air, we have asked the guys who put on our events and all three have different opinions. your guess is as good as mine right now.

My guess on what class you will run in is most likely super stock. Same class as say an NSX or RX-7tt. If I were you guys I would keep my mouth shut and try to run it a stock class aginst civic si's. I would say would should run it in a street class on stock meats and see what happens.

the guys who run the show are smart and they dont want me to be in a stock class because i won second overall last year and they dont like the new people doin better than them. but we are not gonna run stock tires because the factory kdw's are to much hotness.

That's weird. When we were auto-xing the stock classes were the most competive. I ran in H stock and Dsp. and did well. Is this an scca event or just a bunch of local guys making there own rules as they go. I still say throw some good rubber on there and run in the stock class. It is not like your buddy is gonna mod that thing, to make it worth running in a prepared class.

its an scca, but the guys running it all see the rules different. we have a set of 17's we are going to put some rubber on, but two of the guys said that the wheel and tires have to be the same size as factory or else we get bumped. another guy said that its not a stock car because all of the mugen suspension and what not...

to be honest, i dont care what class im in, with this car there is no way i wont place in the top ten (out of at least 50 cars) at every event.

if i can take second overall for the season in my 06 basemodel lancer i think i could be dangerous with this bad boy!
