Post subject:  4g61t dyno's

Basically I am wanting to gather a little infomation from the people who are running 4g61t's and what sort of numbers they were/are making.

Please list all power related mods, and motor condition if known.

I'll go first for an example of what I'm looking for.

Stock bottom end 4g61t, rebuilt w/5K
4g67t head, ported & polished exhaust ports.
HKS 272's, stock springs, head gasket, and bolts.
60 mm t/b on ported 4g67t intake manifold
Slowboy racing cast exhaust manifold, ported and polished
Tial 38 mm W/G
PTE 50 trim BB .76 A/R exh
Evo 560 cc inj
Walbro 190 w/ 30 amp re-wire
AFC 2, 90 DSM turbo ECU
Evo 8 FMIC, 2.5" IC piping
2G MAF, HKS SS BOV
3" turbo back exhaust
24 psi on 91 oct pump gas

Uncorrected numbers where 307.94 whp/ 248.06 wtq @ 24 psi. Elevation at the dyno is right at 6,000 ft so I would venture a more accurate correction around 1.17 for those who are curious to calculate it.

Edit: I should also note that the target A/F was at 12.0 : 1 but after 6,500 rpms I was at 12.5 : 1 due to lack of fuel pump. 4* base timing.

Great job bobby. Jason is going to fire up his new 50 trim tomorrow. He is on a stock 2.0L though. So we will see what can be had with dsmlink and E85.

I think with your weight you have him beat. I am shooting for over 25psi though.

Going to the track before it closes? I know you have those slicks.

I've installed a 255 pump and want to up the injector size to run e85. I got a keydriver chip but my eprom ecu decided to fry itself right before I sent it out to get socketed and new caps...frustrating. I want 350-360 uncorrected whp, or till this turbo is max'd out.

I wonder if I have the highest whp 4g61t as it sits.

If you need to borrow a 90 eprom, mine is socketed and ready to go.

560's are only good for 31lbs/min at 100% duty cycle on E85. 25lbs/min at 80%.

I think currently you have the highest known out there. But just to let you know, I am going to build my car around the 4G61 as well. And if or when it goes I will throw a 2.0L together. So watch out Jack. I hope by spring time to have some numbers.

This was last year on a Mustang dyno.

stock 4g61t top & bottom end 250k(155,000 miles)
1g cams on stock h/g & valves
60mm TB with Cyclone Intake(non dual runner)
650 injectors
walbro 190
3" GM maf draw thru with maf-t v2.01
ported 2g ex/m & ported 2g O2
3" mandrel exhaust, hi-flo cat, slp muffler 3" inlet 2 2.5" outlets
ebay FMIC
evo 16g, ported by sbr
stock BOV, all hard piping
catch can
25 psi, 94 pump
280 whp--256 tq!!

shortly after this the original h/g blew while trying to do a burnout with sticky tires on new pavement=not good :-? So now I'm on a completly built 2.0. If I had known there was a problem with the used 2.0 I paid good money for, I just would have rebuilt the '61t.

Small side note: for comparison what type of car and drag coefficient do you use for your cars? The guys at KVR used a 91 Honda Civic drag coefficient for my car IIRC.

Just need to get it through emissions and get the exhaust finished up before it see's any real street time. I'm actually thinking of running a 50/50 mix of e85/91 oct with 850 cc inj. Should be able to run close to 30 psi with proper tuning, maybe more.

Shrug? I'm curious to know why my numbers are so low, but I suspect boost leak. I need someone to analyse my .DBA file from my Palm - ie run Palm Emulator or upload to their Palm and see what is on the up and up with my numbers from my first Dyno run. 8) I didn't break but the numbers are low for a modded 2.0T.

New post to follow in another thread, but every set of AA batteries I have in the house won't keep my camera alive long enough to download the 1 picture of my 2 dyno plot sheets.

Wade, what model of car do they test your Colt under?
