The dyno needs a wind resistance factor to help calculate the overall values, and as such they picked a 91 Civic Hatchback value for my car. I was wondering what values the dyno operators were using for other people, as this car affect the final outcome of the values.

Hate to burst anyone's bubble, but just got one of my old GT's back, and the motor is not coming out, until I see catastrophic failure...The limit of the 1.6 will be found.

Excellent! Any clues as to what you plan to run on it...anything with a "45" on the end of it?

I wish I had your fabrication skills, I'm limited to just turning nuts and bolts. Please keep me updated JP.

I scored a bolt on 50 trim, 660cc, and Bosch FP for XXX$ (edit-I will be reselling it soon, so I'll keep that price to myself. :)), so that will go on for now..

But yes, the China 45 is still super mint on the RX-7, so I don't see why it would not work for the Colt. :)

So, anyone interested ina bol on 50 trim set up, with fill 3nch Shearer02 housing and 38mmgate? :)

Well, the 50 trim works well on my 1.6L. Full spool in 3rd (26 psi) is around 5,200-5,400 rpms so its a little laggy but part of that is the crappy off-boost power at 6000 ft elevation. I'm curious to see how big your gonna go, Davis had an fp3065 on a 1.6 w/ stock cams and it didn't full spool till 5,600-6,000 rpms and was real laggy between shifts as well but he was also limited tune wise with an AFC at the time.

Someone should buy this set up so JP can get crazy on the 1.6L.

Does LoL count? You have to remember- lag will help keep traction to a point..That, and this car's main purpose will be MPH, Busa killing, and ET, in that order.

I need a top end fix. The RX-7 rocks, but it does not boggie hard enough on the big end for me. And with the trans/clutch issues..Im just upset with it right now.

I honestly doubt that without anti-lag he will spool more than 20 lbs till 4th gear. I'm being serious here too. I've seen higher compression honda's struggle to full spool gt42's in 4th gear without some form of anti-lag.

I've been eyeing the HTA gt3582r's...

HTA turbo's are so populr right now, people seem to like them due to the faster spool times...

It is a small race to see who will have the china 45 on thier 1.6L then. I am sorta slowed by my new house payment, but the turbo and BOV are the last pieces to my puzzle.

I think I can spool it. But we will see. With my super short intercooler setup I plan on, and short 12-18" downpipe I have planned, I hope things come together and put some decent power down.

Steven

After thinking about all this for a while...I don't think I'm ready to give up my 4g61t title reign. I've had the fastest, most powerful 4g61t in the world for the last couple years...Its time to put some real thought into my set-up. Come get me boys. LOL
