I ran my 85 Mirage Turbo in H-stock from Jan-June. If you can find some sort of swaybar that will work (I never did) it should be a decent competitor, maybe not on the national level but locally at least. Van ran his 88 as well and he has some sort of special Koni's made that I bet were pretty sweet but still showed a lot of body roll. I beat a national level driver in his 91 Civic si on one of my very best days but was right back to #2 the next event.

Not sure about the next Gen Colts though. Grassroots Mag looks like the are going to feature a newer Colt next issue, keep an eye out for that.

Things are different now in my Miata now though

Got a video of one of my runs from the last event. i know i'm not fast, and i never place more than between bottom or middle of the pack, but i have fun doin it, so it's all good.

FYI You can get a front and rear sway-bar from:

http://www.whiteline.com.au/

Just look in their catalogue under "Mitsubishi->Colt RA,RB,RC,RD"

I have rear sway bars on both my Excel's and they share the same rear trailing arm suspension. However mine are made by this company:

I have before I sold mine.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pIC_kQR7qc8

Get some energy suspension bushings and endlinks. Big bang for the buck as far as handling. Not a cure all though.... http://www.energysuspension.com/pages/swaybbct.html

Good luck!

Van

This Colt I now have will be seeing much AutoX time and track days. Unfortunately, due to the AWD and 4g63t swap, at Solo competitions I will be forced to run in the Prepared class X, also called Open Prepared, which basically has very few rules. I will be running Konig Britelites with Hankook Ventus C50 DOTR slicks. Here in Cincinnati there are very few XP cars, but the two that ran last year were a LS1 swapped FD and a consistent FTD WRX. I think that given the current suspension setup and weight of this Colt I will be giving that FTD WRX many difficulties. And if I am not giving him enough problems then there is always room for improvement. I dunno how you can argue with 2,500 pounds of AWD go-kart though...

Yeah, I saw Feb 19 but not the 2008. Oh well. I'll be autocrossing my AWD go-kart. That's all I wanted to say.
