i am trying to figure what is the best choice of suspension.

i have a 1989 colt.

adjustable coilovers?

intrax springs?

AWD eclipse springs?

my car will be just for race, of course in the near future.

The best coilovers money can buy, and heavy spring rates like 500in/lb?

You need to clarify more on the budget you have to spend for us to figure as to what you qualify to purchase local to you, or from the internet.

i dont have too much money to spend ... so ground control coilovers is not an option.

so lets say USD150-200 . $200 would be the limit, beacuse i will have to pay an extra $$ to bring the suspension over here.

Then get KYB GR2s and B+G springs you'll probably have to find them used because $200 doesn't buy you much at all.

I guess everybody knew this, but what kind of racing. Road course and drag racing will take two completely differant susp. choices, especially if you are on a budget.

i dont like drag racing as much as road racing.

doesnt anyone here do road racing with a colt? not even with the 4g63t?

I need to get as much as i can, weight distribution..

B+G springs will give me better weight distribution fron stock?

i was thinkg abou this coilovers, what do you think? would be better B+G springs than coilovers?

BTW 89 eclipse coilovers fit in my car?

I personally on a budget would go with those coil overs and save your money beyond that.

Those coilovers will ride pretty crappy (I have them on my car) but they are adjustable and if you know somebody who has corner scale you can ever corner wieght the car with those things. (not as well asa double adjustable set, but it is still doable.

As for struts/shocks. I would not get anything at the moment. You can not get anything good for the 160$ you are goint to have left over. And buying a crappy set of shocks is a waste of money. A lot of junk shocks are softer then the mitsu ones from the factory.

Instead get a set of polurathane motor mounts or some 3M window weld and make you own. That will help eliminate any wheel hop you might have.

Then take the rest of the money and save up for a good set of tires.
Then do struts and a set of adjustable camber plates that you can change when you get to the track (if somebody makes them) would be a great idea.

My .02$
