Remember that not all LSDs are created equal. The KAAZ and Cusco LSD units use a "clutch-pak" style centre section with plates that wear over time and must be replaced. The Quaife unit isn't really a "LSD" but an "ATB differential" and is completely mechanical.

The classic LSD like the Cusco and KAAZ items will make the steering heavy once the diff starts to lock up so you have to fight it. The Quaife style ATB doesn't have that problem.

I have heard from a few locals with FWDs and Quaifes and they have also noticed a tendency of the Quaife to make traction a little nervous. Those guys have fixed their problem by replacing their suspension bushings with new OEM or poly bushes. ie the problem is really as a result of poor suspension geometry under power than the Quaife doing anything peculiar.
