there was 3 plug on the ecu 1-[+amp g] 2-[-amp g] 3-[-amp h]
duno if it's lookin like the 37's but maybe this will help you telling me ?
That sounds right but I believe the 63 stuff won't work too well the Injectors are 240cc way too big for the 4g15 where the 4g37 are only 210cc before you start this project I strongly recommened having access to a datalogging device before you start messing with your fuel and so forth...

Dan, try comparing your 63 ECU pinout w/ a 4G15 one. I assume you still have the 63 harness around to compare. Connectorwise, even the DOHC ECUs will fit, although they don't work.
I agree w/ Berserko about those 240 ccm injectors. Go for the 4G37 stuff, except you want to go turbo w/ your 15, then I'd take the 4G63 stuff as it can easily handle up to 150 HP.

too bad i know a guy who have a 4g63t for sale ckrank shaft balancer or somthing like that is broke but im interested cuz im gona rebuilt it slowly and i'll ride the stock 4g15 until it's done or if i can find some cheap injectors from a 4g37 maybe i'll try it with the tb ecu and maf of the 4g63 sohc do you think i's a good idea ?

take the 4g63 sohc pistons, shave'em 3mm like i did, it's like having 2g pistons...but cheaper.

Colt-r, are you sure it's a good idea to use NA pistons in a turbo setup?

Well you could cet maybe 10psi out of them because their not forged...

That was exactly what I was thinking.

The TB is fine... but the MAF will really lean out the car I did it for several months it was great on the gas bill but it made the 4g15 even a more extreme econo box 0-60 in about 45 minutes.... TB helps throttle response though....

Yes because its mapped out for the wrong injectors.... You don't want to do that

I cant believe this thread is 10 years old anyway has anybody actually ran all of the 4g37 components. I have the throttle body and injectors I still need the maf and ecu which I am getting either on the 1st or sometime next month but I was wondering if its even worth it to continue with these upgrades. That is if people are still following this thread :prayer:

I ran all those parts.

My internal thought process once everything was installed, told me that the timing curve was really different between the two ECU's.

I was not a fan.

I have not used the 4g63 ECU with any sort of piggyback though. 4g37 Sonata setup, yes.

i ran them for a few years, up until i killed the 1.5. i liked it, seemed to give a bit more grunt at the bottom, not much, but enough to notice. mileage was the same as with the 1.5 ECU/MAF/etc. if you're looking to get a bit more out of your 1.5 for not much cash, it's worth it. if you're planning an engine swap somewhere down the line, forget it and aim for the swap.

so what would happen if I just swapped in the 210cc injectors in my 4g15 and waited to do everything else later.. Would it give it more fuel and fire better or would I just choke the crap out of it??
