I found a set of headers for a 94-96 mirage 1.5. I looked it up, and those cars came with the 12v 4G15. My 91 excel has an 8v 4G15. Anyone know if the headers will fit????

Thanks...

Thanks, but that link doesn't really answer my question. I need to know if a header for a 93-96 mirage fill fit my 91 excel.

Have you seen any photos of either the header or engine of that year range? If the ports are grouped together like ours then I would imagine it would work.

[dumb ass]sorry for the pointless link - didn't read close enough 1st time![/dumb ass]

They will fit as the bolt pattern is the same. BUT, the porting is very different between the 8valve and 12 valve engines. the former has small round ports while the latter has large square ports. Shouldnt cause any problems. I wouldnt recommend using a header designed for the 8valve on a 12 valve though. Hope this clears things up.
