I got an injection wiring loom some months ago. I just got an O2 sensor, and now I tried to put the two together.

Found out both conenctors are female for the O2 sensor, female from the sensor, and female from the loom!

Just wondering if anyone has an injection 4G15 and check what it's supposed to be?

The loom and sensor came off the same car. The only thing I can think it is, is there is a male to male short lead that I've left behind. If so I either go back and try and find it or just solder them without connectors.

Mine is sitting on the floor. If I remember when I get home I'll take a look at the connector

Come on, someone must have a 1.5 injection to check! All I need to know is what sort of conenctors the loom and oxygen sensor have!

I need a meter to check my air/fuel mixture, the carb is running the engine rich, I think I'm going to end up with bore wash. I may have already done the damage though :(

That's strange. I was at my car to check that connector, but I couldn't get the connectors off. Is there some sort of trick?

It's running at 0.8v, sounds very rich to me. Sooty exhaust too.

Connector should come apart by pressing the side clip, it's a latch style of thing. Is there two joints/connectors on the loom? Maybe one near the throttle body and one near the o2 sensor?

There's one near the O2 sensor. I tried to get this thing off, but I could press that darn latch thing in all kind of different ways, it wouldn't come off. Does nobody else want to take a look at their engines?

hang on a sec im puttin my shoes on right now to go check.... damn laces.
OK... O2 sensor on my 91 is two wire, has male plug on the )2 side and female on the harness side. Is also a squeeze clip type which is oval in shape and has a pinkish sealing ring inside. Hope this helps. If worse comes to worse, solder. No or bad O2 will definately run sooty and rich.

Maybe my loom is different being from a Proton here. Also my O2 sensor is 4 wire (other a heater). Very odd, could solder but I prefer connectors.

I think I'll make a gauge on my dash for Air/Fuel ratio and Vacuum gauge, control it with a PIC. Don't know if it's worth it, could end up as one of one of those novelty items.

Those 4 wire O2 sensor may be from a 4G6x. The two black wires are the heater, the blue was GND and the white O2 sensor out. Please check this info with a DMM, I may have reversed the polarities.
