I have a 89 colt with a 4g15 motor, a while ago now I blew the engine and dropped a connecting rod. So I bought a used engine out of a 92 colt as our mitsu dealer says the parts will fit ie crank, and con rods. He lied because they are diffrent. Now my question is can I just put my tranny and everything else on the engine I got used and rebuild that on? Is the clutch going to be the same? flywheel? I know for sure the head will but that is it. thanks Aiden

Yes that tranny will mate to that motor. and your right the 89 Mirages came with 8 valve motors the 92 and possibly the 91's came with a 12 valve motor and alot of the internals are different...

thanks but i have now bought a new engine and am going to build the other one so it fits a 2.0L high comp pistons. If I can does anyone know anyone that did. I am going to put another post on so i can get all the info on one site.
