So I've had the 3g running pretty well, its one tooth retarded in time though--good enough til i can do what i need to.
When i bought the car the cooling fan had already been removed and they were using the a/c fan to cool the car, wired so it turns on when the car does. I can't find the plug for the stock fan anymore, and was reading on here that the temp sensor is just a ground. So when it reaches a certain temp, the ground is completed and the fan turns on.
My question is, if i get a temp sensor (believe the one in car is trash) could i run a ground wire to the sensor plug, and then to the ground wire on the fan to make the fan work? I'd run power to the fan at all times when the car is running, but the fan wouldnt turn on until the temp sensor activates to complete the ground right?
I have already found a spare sensor plug/junk yard sensor to try out, but before i waste the time, does anyone have a better idea? or even think this would work?
Lastly, to be sure, the cooling fan is the one on the drivers side? and the a/c fan is on the passenger side?
Thx for any extra info/help.
Ben
