Coolant Temp Sensor is on your thermostat housing. There should be two sensors on thermostat housing. The smaller one is Coolant Temp Sensor i believe.

thanks a lot! Anybody knows where I can get an IAC valve that doesn't cost $300 dollars. I mean why is it so expensive??

Put in an o2 sensor and replace the CTS then come back.

Im going to replace the o2 sensor. Seeing its a cheap fix. CTS on the other hand, could I just get the 1.8 upgrades?

Replacing the whole TB its self?

I was going to pull a whole TB off at the junkyard, Ill grab a few while i am there.

Hopefully i can make it out this weekend.

NO! The smaller is for the display in the speedometer (one pin)
The bigger (coolent sensor for the ecu) has two pins.


I drove my car over 10.000km without 02 sensor without problems like this.

do the check engine always lights? Or only sometimes?

one option to see if the ecu or maf has an error:
times make the plug from the maf from. Then start your cold engine. Is the problem gone, the maf could be an error, but mostly the ecu.

The check engine light is always on. Still haven't check to see what code is being thrown though.
